Sometime last week, quietly and with no fanfare because there was nothing to report to anyone, our counter ticked past one million traces. One million dramatic sweeps. One million pounding hearts. One million cheerful reveals that nobody was ever being tracked.
Here is the number we are proudest of: the amount of personal data we stored across all of those traces is zero. Not rounded down. Actually zero. Every number lived and died in a browser, exactly as our privacy policy promises.
We like to imagine the map that does not exist, dotted with a million little jokes landing gently in living rooms and group chats around the world.
Thank you for playing along. Here is to the next million reveals, and to nobody being surveilled in the making of any of them. Take a bow at the tracker.
